It works for me with Mozilla1.5b (Gnome2.2). But i confirm that
epiphany1.0 and Gnome1.3.9 can't use these string.

I'm using the string supléèçà€êâîôÖïüä to test (note there is
a € symbol
because my charset is ISO-8859-15.
