Jan, seriously.  What would you need?  Registering a magic token value in a 
PHP global, and issue a parallel request to a meta refreshing window with 
this token passed to it so that PHP can return a metricised remaining 
figure in a variable?  (The magic token would be scanned across Zend's 
global registries to locate the file descriptor and current received data 
values...)

Give me exactly what you'd need from a PHP/API entry point angle.
