I'm having a similar problem. My whole HORDE/IMP site is running in
SSL, but I don't believe that it the problem. I recently converted my
site from a "normal" setup to a chrooted setup, and now when I compose
a message, I instantly get back a blank white page (no error message in
Mozilla Firebird). It's similar to what I get when there is a PHP
error, but there supposedly is no PHP error (show errors is on for
testing). When I click "send message", it does actually send the
message (via SMTP), and everything seems to work. Apache's error log
says (on one line):
[client n.n.n.n] PHP Warning: File upload error - unable to create a
temporary file in Unknown on line 0, referer:
https://www.site.org/horde/imp/compose.php?popup=1&to=&cc=&bcc=&msg=&subject=&thismailbox=INBOX&uniq=1070587272...
In /horde/config/horde.php $conf['tmpdir'] = '/tmp', and upload_tmp_dir
is undefined in php.ini (defaults to...?). /tmp exists and is writable
and sticky. Creating '/var/tmp' seems to fix the problem, so it seems
IMP isn't using HORDE's value of tmpdir, or something...anyway I fixed
my problem as I was writing this, but it's odd that I had to create
/var/tmp and it wouldn't use /tmp.
