[imp] Alert of new email

Hi.  I'm considering using imp webmail for my small company.  I tested it and
it works great.  But, before we deploy it, I have a concern about the alert box
that appears when a user receives a new email.  I would appreciate a general
description of how imp accomplishes this, and any security considerations
related to it.
