[imp] IMPudent due to inability to log in

http://myserver/horde gets the Welcome to Horde log in screen and shows 3
links in the footer: Horde, Mail and Log out.

But when I type my user and password, nothing seems to happen - it just
comes right back to the log on page :-(

Examining the horde.log in tmp shows.

[info] [horde] clean session [on line 882 of
"/srv/www/htdocs/horde/lib/Horde.php"]

[horde] FAILED LOGIN for josh [192.168.1.1] to Horde [on line 48 of
"/srv/www/htdocs/horde/login.php"]

 

I tripled checked my user password in the horde mysql database - I know I am
good here.

 

Please assist as I now have very little hair to pull out - thank you!!!

Horde: 2.2.4, IMP: 3.2.2, PHP: 4.3.3

All PHP module capabilities and settings report yes and the 8 PEAR modules
report yes

 

Per Horde install doc.

I have all required prerequisites including Apache 2 on SuSE 9.

Using postfix for smtp - which is working great in a shell.

I ran the mysql_create.sql script and verified the database objects.  

Inserted my name and password into horde_users table.

Changed Preferences System Settings in horde.php:

Prefs dirver and auth driver=sql, changed the auth params password to the
correct mysql user password.

 

Per IMP install doc.

activated imp in registry.php, no changes to the conf.php were made.

Changed pop server info in servers.php

 

Grrrr, What am I missing???
