[imp] Question about Displaying Buttons

Hello-

I have a quick question: If I would like to remove some buttons from 
the display window--for example, the "compose" and "reply" buttons--is 
there a simple way to comment out code that displays them? If so, could 
someone point me in the right direction to its location?

I'm working on a project where they are phasing in levels of email 
functionality to their customers--phase one is an "inbox only" mode.
