[imp] features?

hi list!
I'm new to imp and horde in general, so please forgive me, if some of my
questions are obsolete or rtfm. thanks.
as of today I use imp in parallel to squirrelmail, since I want to find
out what suits me better. I use both on my private imap/smtp server
(courier/postfix) and both work fine now. both have some advantages as
well as disadvantages. overall I prefer imp because of its user
interface and its speed and reliability. but a few features I would like
to have in imp that I had with sm, maybe they are already available..?
the most important feature for me is the overview frame.
in sm on the left side you have a list of all your imap folders with
their stats (unread/total). basically the same as you can have with the
imp folder option. I would like such a thing to be in a seperate frame
all the time within imp.
this frame could frequently ask the imap server for new mail and if
there is display it in the browser titlebar like sm does. could this be
achieved?
another thing that bothers me right now seems to be some config problem
I have.
when browsing http://localhost/horde/ I get the menuframe and a blank
frame. to login I have to switch to webmail first.
when sending my login data, the frame will stay the same (login mask)
although I am logged in now. when I switch back to home (horde) i get my
regular overview with the kalendar and webmail stating the arrivals of
my inbox. the only way to get to imp is clicking on imbox, then I get
the imp menu..
does this sound familiar to someone?
any hint?
thanks in advance!
regards
/christian
