[imp] IMP & Courier-Imap: No messages and no folders

Hello... I have recently installed IMP 3 (i believe is the version) and
Corier-Imap 3.0.6.  I can log in to the email system through imp but there
are no messages in a maibox which actually has 25mb worth of email in it. 
Also no folders are showing and I am unable to create folders as well.

When I run imp/test.php I get these results...

INBOX has 0 messages (0 new 0 recent)

and this Notice

Also when I click the folders option in IMP I get this error message on the
folders page..

And when I try and create a folder I get this error...

The folder "mail/TestFolder" was not created. This is what the server
saidInvalid mailbox name.


Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
