[imp] imaps with imap4

hello list,

i just installed suse 9.1 linux and tried to migrate
my horde-installation.

up to now i failed to login to my local mailserver using
the imp-test included in horde/test.php

result looks like this:

server="localhost" user="foo"
mailbox="{localhost:993/imaps/novalidate-cert}INBOX"

array(1) {
  [0]=>
  string(91) "Can't open mailbox {localhost:993/imaps/novalidate-cert}INBOX:
invalid remote specification"
}

does this message come from the php side, or the imap-server?

i guess the point is that i use imap with ssl encryption, since the
distribution ships with an imap server that doesn's support plaintext
passwords in unencrypted connections.

has anybody experienced such behaviour in this context and could give me
a hint, what could be the reason?

accessing the mailserver with outlook and imaps works fine, thats why i
suggest it may be a php problem..
