[imp] Problems sending messages

This is a repost of a problem I am experiencing with IMP 3.2.4.

I am running Horde 2.2.5, IMP 3.2.4 with Apache 2.0.49 on Debian Sarge. We are running into a very consistent issue when trying to "send" messages that take longer than approximately 30 seconds to compose. It only seems to happen with the user agent is IE. If a user takes longer than 30 seconds to compose a message, when they hit the send button, they immediately get a "Page Cannot be Displayed Error". If they hit "Backspace" on their keyboard and hit send again, the message is sent without any issues. We are using a self-signed SSL Certificate for security so I don't know if that would complicate the issue. I was hoping that someone could help me narrow down the problem.
