[imp] move a mail without the attachement

hello list

what is the best practice for the following problem:

the user get mails with large attachements, so the mailbox is allways on the
quota-limit.
He wish to save the attachement on the local disk and keep the mail in the
mailbox (in the folder old)- without attachements, so it consumes not a lot of
space.

is this posssible in imp to move a mail without an attachement ?
