[imp] IMP corrupting PDFs encoded using "quoted-printable"

All -

I have seen a reproducible case where a PDF file is ending up un-usable
, acrobat reader reports the file is corrupt.

The difference appears to be when the file "Content-Transfer-Encoding"
is set to "quoted-printable" instead of "base64".

I can't modify the behavior of the client sending the PDF in question,
and other e-mail clients (netscape, Eudora, outlook, etc. ) are able to
handle the PDF in question.

Any thoughts on a solution for this?
