[imp] Appearance questions: horde and imp

I'm running horde-3.0-rc3 and imp-h3-4.0-rc3 in the typical setup, i.e 
http://myserver/horde/imp.  Everything's working just fine.  I'm running 
this on apache 2.0.52 with PHP 4.3.10.

I'd like to do two things:

1.  Suppress the horde button in the left hand navigation.  In essence, 
I only want to show my users their webmail.
2.  Make it so that my users only have to go to http://myserver to login 
then go to webmail.  Is there a way to do this without doing a redirect? 
  So that if my users bookmark their webmail, they'd bookmark 
http://myserver rather than http://myserver/horde/imp.
