Not in any way that I'm aware of. :)  I used to use a PHP accelerator 
under PHP
4, but removed it from my php.ini because it wasn't compatible with PHP 5.

Is there any way of checking / querying PHP to see if something like 
that is in
use?  I suppose I might try removing PHP altogether, ripping out all directory
pieces, and then reinstalling it to see if that makes a difference...
