  Just to be sure - by imp-local you mean creating a placeholder 
somewhere in IMP code (IMP_Session::createSession probably) for 
executing two new hooks (e.g. '_imp_hook_preauthenticate' and 
'_imp_hook_postauthenticate').?
  If so, that shouldn't be too difficult, I can even throw in the 
code I'll be using as an example of utilizing the hooks :-)
