[imp] imp-courier quota problem

I have noticed that with imp and courier-imap when i 
delete mails in my Inbox the quota percentage get reduced 
even before i expunge. With this, a user can totally 
delete all mails in his inbox and still receive mails. 
Remember deleted mails can be read in imp. 
   Any ideas to solve this problem?
