Paul:

Thanks for the suggestions. I agree, I think it probably is the same problem.
However, I have two issues with this
fix:

(1) I have NEVER been able to get the FileInfo PECL module installed. I'm
running Horde/Imp on Solaris 9 and I think I have some un-met dependancy that
is present on Linux distributions but not on Solaris. I've tried looking at
the docs (theres not much available) to no avail. These are the error
messages
I get:

#pear install fileinfo
downloading Fileinfo-1.0.tgz ...
Starting to download Fileinfo-1.0.tgz (5,566 bytes)
.....done: 5,566 bytes
3 source files, building
running: phpize
Configuring for:
PHP Api Version: 20020918
Zend Module Api No: 20020429
Zend Extension Api No: 20021010
/usr/local/share/aclocal/libmcrypt.m4:17: warning: underquoted definition of
AM_PATH_LIBMCRYPT
run info '(automake)Extending aclocal'
or see http://sources.redhat.com/automake/automake.html#Extending-aclocal

`phpize' failed

Not real informative.

(2) I'm sure FileInfo can't cover ALL extensions. What happens when it finds
an
attachment of a type that it does not recognize? I'm then back to a blank
compose window (possibly).

If you have any suggestions on installing FileInfo or where to look for an
output log that may specify why the compile is failing, I would be most
appreciative.

Thanks,
Mike
