[imp] imp server.php, the folder option is being ignored?

In the server.php, I've always set the folder=>'mail/' and it has 
worked great.
Today, I updated the cvs and now the folder option seems to be ignored. 
  All my directories are showing up and since I have almost a GB of 
data outside the mail directory, login and most things are really slow 
(5 minutes in some cases). version info:
Redhat E4, PHP 4.3.9, IMAP4rev1 2004.357
