[imp] Premature logout

We've deployed horde 3.0.5 and imp 4.0.4 with php 4.3.11 with imp
authentication.  A number of users are reporting being logged out before the
60 minute timeout, even when they are in the middle of an active session.

When this happens, imp has been sending the following password to the imap
server three times in a row:

{8}

The authentication obviously fails, and then the user is asked to
reauthenticate.  Has anyone else seen this or a failure mode similar to this?
