[imp] Mail folders in IMP

Huh?  IMP doesn't have that configuration option.

If you are talking about fetchmail, then you can download mail from a  
remote POP server, but you still need a local IMAP server to save that  
mail in a specific folder other than INBOX.  POP doesn't support  
folders/mailboxes.  Period.
