that might bring SELinux into play - I recall he said he was using
Fedora Core 4...I don't know how/why the uw-imap though since Fedora
dropped that in favor of dovecot and cyrus-imapd

he should just set the smtp server to whatever he uses with Outlook -
since he says Outlook works. It's not difficult to see the solution.
