[imp] IMP + SMTP auth over ssl/tls

Hi there, I wonder if it is possible to send emails using IMP with smtp
auth, but over ssl/tls ? I didn't find anything about it in
documentation, and there are only the same questions without answers in
maillist archive...

One more, in IMP 2.x I could set 

$default->user_change_from = false;

to disallow users changing their FROM header, is there sth similar in
IMP 4.1 ?
