[imp] Custom Hook: Use second dot from right to left, as separator

hi,

can i create a custom hook, so that IMP uses the second dot (from right
to left) from the username as separator? For example:

user.domain.foo, if user logs in, it becomes:
"Welcome user at domain.foo"

and his sender address is also user at domain.foo
