[imp] Attachment issue

I have been experiencing an issue sending large files as attachments
with my installation of horde and imp. Nothing happens when I try to
send a file larger than 1MB as an attachment to the email. After hitting
the Send button, the browser processes the request for a moment and then
the compose window stays open, but goes white. At this point the message
has not been sent, but I have not been given any sort of error or
warning about it. I have checked through the log horde outputs to
(/var/log/horde.log) and my own php error log and have not found any
description of why the message could not be sent.

I can however send large files as linked attachments, so I can conclude
from this that no php file size or timeout limits are being reached. If
anyone has some insight on the subject it would be very helpful. Thank you.
