[imp] long delay after login

Hi all,

we are planning to use the latest versions of horde/imp etc. in a new
setup (using a three-year-old version still!) but observe right now
something "uncomfortable":
users with several folders which many emails of which many are unread
observe a very long delay after logging in successfully, the password
is accepted but then the browser window is blank for some time. this
even happens if the application directly after login is imp with inbox
even if there are not many emails directly in the inbox. in the
navigation menu (on the left side) there is the number of unread mails
written in brackets after webmail, which is then quite large! does
this mean that imp does scan all mailbox folders on login to get the
number of unread mails on every login? is there a way to prevent this?

thanks in advance for your help!
