[imp] Default Identity in my setup

Hello all. Haven't used IMP in a bit so bear with me. 
Using Cyrus imap configured to support multiple domains, our usernames
are in the format of username.domain.tld
This causes issues when trying to relay maill to our SMTP hub - we
immediately receive a syntax error from Postfix. Before I roll up my
sleeves and create a "fix" for the "problem", I wanted to check with you
folks to see if there was an switch I can flip for my situation.
