[imp] incoming/outgoing port #s and server names to forward emails to Outlook or OE

Hi,
Thnnks for the information. Looking at the reply, if I want to use Outlook as the client instead of IMP/horde, I would still need some settings right to see my messages show up in Outlook?
(So I am not forwarding but just viewing the messages in Outlook rather than IMP).
So, I thought some settings such as user name/pwd, PORTs such as 110, incoming/outgoing server names such as imap.horde.org.
Hope that clarifies what I was driving at.

I guess you are talking about the IMP Server settings.
Now, should the IMP server be setup on the same machine OR could I view the message from Outlook installed on any machine.

Thanks for your help.

All of this is dependent on your server configuration. If you're using
an IMAP server, the incoming port would ordinarily be 143, and the
outgoing port would be 25 for SMTP. None of us can tell you, though,
how your server is set up.

And, again, you're not forwarding messages anywhere. You're just using
two different clients (IMP and Outlook) to access the same messages
stored on the same server.
