Hello,

Imp has a configuration setting described thusly:
 > By default, IMP will keep track of both who a message was sent to and
 > the date it was sent when forwarding, replying, or redirecting a message.
 > This information is stored using the History class provided by Horde.
 > These entries are deleted when the mail is deleted using IMP in an attempt
 > to keep the number of entries to the minimum required - if not deleted
 > the maillog entry will persist forever. On large installations, there may
 > be significant lookup times and/or large amounts of maillog entries with
 > older versions of Horde before Horde 3.1 so this functionality can be
 > turned off.

From this descriptiom, it is clear that I will have less garbage in
my SQL database if I disable that option.

The question is: What would I gain by enabling it? Will Imp
ever use that history, and if so to what end?

Thank you for any enlightenment you can give,
   Otto Stolz
