The password for an account that already exists on your IMAP server.  
Horde accounts are not IMAP server accounts (unless you configure a  
sql or ldap backend for both, or use the cyrus-sql driver, etc.).

Did you read the IMP install docs also?

You should have configured Horde logging when you set up Horde. The  
default is a file (/tmp/horde.log). IMAP servers usually log to  
/var/log/mail* (varies by OS).
