I don't know about CentOS packages but Pear's DB-package has been 
deprecated for a while now and it could be that CentOS has switched to 
use the replacement MDB2.

So I think that downgrading that php-pear-db -package should fix the 
problem. Other way of fixing the problem would be installing manually a 
separate Pear installation (or maybe just the DB-package) to be used 
with Horde.
