If you mean can IMP using Postfix as SMTP server:
For sure! Simply set something like

$conf['mailer']['params']['host'] = 'localhost';
$conf['mailer']['params']['port'] = 25;
$conf['mailer']['type'] = 'smtp';

in your conf.php for Horde.
