We have experienced this problem too. We have found that clearing the
IMP preferences from the database "fixes" this problem. We don't know
exactly why this problem occurs. The only thing that has been a
recurring theme is the people that have the problem have accessed
their mail from a mobile device. But we've had others access their
mail from a mobile device without running into this problem, so we're
still looking for answers.
