Not correct.  #3278 describes how to improve the UI display of threads  
- mainly, allowing collapsible threads.  It does not involve changing  
the algorithm behind thread sorting however.

The OP requested threads to be sorted by the most recent message  
within a thread.  That threading algorithm is not available as an IMAP  
thread sorting program (neither REFERENCES nor ORDEREDSUBJECT allow  
this kind of date sorting).
