[kronolith] unable to delete or modify any calendar items

Do you use BSD? If so take a look at the list archives, someone has made a 
version of libmcal that compiles on BSD.
At least on Linux libmcal and php should compile without problems. If you still 
have problems try a post at the mcal or php mailing lists.
Another solution may be to try the new mysql driver. But you perhaps should 
wait until Chuck has the sql driver based on pear ready.
