patches to sql driver

I seem to be the only one having (or reporting) the following problems
after switching to the sql driver for kronolith:

First, event_location was never getting saved, and even if I inserted a
location into that field outside of kronolith, it was never retrieved.
Similarly, when checking off one or more keywords, I kept getting an
warning about an "array to string conversion" error.  Last, apostrophes
weren't quoted properly in the title, description, category, location, and
keywords fields.

The attached patch fixes these problems for me.
