[kronolith] Recurring event doesn't appear in calendar

I added a new event that starts on Mar 1, 2003, lasts all day and
recurs every month on the same day.  The event is saved in the
kronolith_events table and the data looks accurate.

When I go to that date in the calendar however, the event doesn't show up.

Is this a known issue?  Can someone give me some insight as to how I
can get around the problem?
