I use an sql backend for all my calendars and I just tried with the latest 
snapshot from cvs head with exactly the same result.

One precision though: this "bug" occurs only when you choose to display your 
shared calendar side-by-side in the User Interface options... 

If I uncheck this option all is fine ... but as soon as I check this the 
problem arises....

I hope it will be enough for you to reproduce this...
