I've just removed the ksorts for now. It's not entirely perfect, but
listEvents() already *does* a whole bunch of sorting, so it seems to work
pretty well. And the way those blocks are built is pretty dumb in the first
place; they should be rewritten instead of introducing further layers of
workarounds.
