Just incase someone else in the future attempts to do a search for this 
in the archives...the issue was solved after looking at the 
Administrator's FAQ.

The location of the installation for this setup was /usr/share/WebMail 
but I had the cookies being stored in the default /horde location. Once 
this was changed to /WebMail everything was cleared out and working 
properly.

Again Jan for the point of reference.
