This does not happen in Outlook with Funambol and it does not happen in KDE Kontact, either.  I have not tested Evolution, but this is definitely a problem with fat clients.  It is no way the fault of Horde.

I can't find the relevant bug reports on Mozilla's bugtracker, but I know I've looked them up, and that they exist. :)
