okay... sorry about the noise, but this works both ways (i modified my
slapd.conf to try it both ways).  One note was that I did change the
gettext tag to "Could not bind to ldap server" from 
"Could not bind to ldap server as guest" so i don't know whether the po
files should be changed or the patch should be changed to leave the
original string.

any questions please let me know.
