Someone else has changed this, not me, and I've not yet had a chance to
look at it.

This would only be when using the default message, correct? If you type in
your own message, then both should work fine, no?

The vacation module should probably be line wrapping that config string
at a reasonable place. I'm not sure, but you may need to but actually
CR/LF combinations rather than just LF characters, or something else.

Hopefully the person who made these changes will modify the code to line
wrap it. I unfortunately have no time to work on it at this time.
