[sync] progress on session issues

I think there is another problem now. Nothing appears in the log and 
sync fails. Thinking about it; the syncing process probably stops after 
isAuthorized returns  a false.

I ran a trace on the tcp traffic. The phone is contacting the server 
and then the server terminates the connection.
