Hi
Karsten, thank you for your work on the SyncML classes, I think it's
great peace of code!
I got some info from Funambol about the differences between Outlook
plug-in 3.0.1 and 3.0.5 / 3.0.7. I think it could be useful. Please read
below.

3.0.5?
Hi Beat,
the main difference between Outlook Plugin 3.0.1 and next releases is
the
upgrading on the API C++ 3.0, which means a SyncML messages handling
redesign, a general architecture review and some new supported features.
You can check these differences from the release notes under Funambol
download page:
http://www.funambol.com/opensource/downloads.html
Looking at your log, I see that the problem is the <final> tag sent by
the
server on msgID 2.
That's not wrong, but in the new architecture at this point the client
is
waiting only for a message with status of modifications on server, then
it
will send a message with the alert 222 and then it will wait for
modifications from server...
So the problem is that the client doesn't parse incoming data because
the
<final></final> sequence is found, and the client is forced to the
mapping
state.
I've attached a log file with a correct synchronization (funambol
outlook
client <-> funambol ds server), just to better understand what I said.
I understand this is probably a mistake, I've just realized there's also
a
patch for this issue in the '.patches' folder in CVS (synthesis.patch)
but
it has not yet been applied.
Andrea

Hi
The first attachment (synclog.txt) shows the plug-in log file when
synchronizing tasks with our server. Our server sends tasks to the
outlook plug-in, but the plug-in never tries to insert them into
outlook. There's just one line after that:
13:17:34:703 [DEBUG] - Mapping
After this line the response message is generated.
I think our SyncML Message is malformed, but I couldn't find a mistake.
And with plug-in version 3.0.1 everything works well.
Beat
