[sync] How to use without cvs

Hello,

I´m new in that list. I will try to test some parts to help in something.

My question:
Can I separate the sync files from Horde files? In other words, Is it
possible to test the sync function
with a horde stable version?

The idea is to download only the specifics files related with sync function.

I would like to have a stable version from Horde, but trying to use the
last sync php files.
