I got the last word on that problem:
Trying on an ubuntu server. I was able to sync. No more segfaults. But now,
I have to complain about locale generating under ubuntu. See my thread "dimp
preview not working".. But that's another story..
I immagine that the initial problem went from a buggy library under debian
etch
