I looked at this a bit, and it looks like the conversion script doesn't work
well with subcategories of subcategories.  I'm guessing that is what is
throwing this error.

I am working on a new conversion script which attempts to convert categories
from either of the previous storage types into the current format.  It will
also attempt to fix botched upgrades from the last two scripts.  I have a good
start, but I don't have much data to work with.

If you could send me a dump of your horde_datatree and 
horde_datatree_attributes
tables it would help a lot.  I could revert my local installation to generate
some test data, but it might be a while before I could find time to do that.
(It might be a while anyway, but having data to play with will certainly speed
up the process)
