[turba] Problem in Turba Search

Dear all

I am dealing with a very strange problem

I have configured turba to access data from an ldap server

When I search for some contact using Advance Search 
everything seems to be working fine.
But when I run the exact same query from the simple Search
the page never returns any results, actually it crashes after 
showing the top menu. 

In an other source that is configured, with the use of 
'__type' => 'object_type',
it seems to be returning results, though too slowly in comparison to 
the Advance search.

Are there any other options for the '__type' I can try?
