[turba] Addressbook appears empty

After a cvs update yesterday, imp is acting as though my addressbook is empty
(can't find pgp keys stored there, no entries in "My Address Book" in turba,
etc) despite there being 80+ entries in the turba_objects table. I have been
using turba extensively, and expand names automatically in the compose window
(also doesn't work anymore, for obvious reasons).

My brief investigation has narrowed this down to happening around the time that
this line was added to horde/config/conf.php.dist:

$conf['sql']['charset'] = 'iso-8859-1';

I'm not familiar with different charsets and may need to research so I
understand what's going on. I'm using a default RedHat 7.3 install of mysql. Can
anybody suggest what I could set this value to (or what else I need to change)
to get my addressbook back?

Thanks in advance,
Rick
