[turba] LDAP setup

Hi,

I'd like to provide a personal address book for all the users on my system. My idea is that using LDAP as the backend, it can serve both Turba as well as Evolution and OE.

I edited and ran the script "addou" from the Turba distribution - and I can see that there was added an organizational unit for each entry in /home under ou=personal_addressbook. All fine.

Now I'm configuring Turba to use this source.

The problem is that my user accounts are stored in /etc/passwd - and not in LDAP.

How can I grant each user write access to his/her own address book?
I suppose I'll have to use the "passwd" backend and somehow let slapd authenticate users using this. Any clues/hints on how to do this?

And how do I set the ownership for each organizational unit representing an addressbook?

ANY hints on how to get this working would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Christian
